Looking for feedback on offering adventure bike tours and all ladies tours in western canada
Just trying to feel out if there would be any interest for tours offered in western canada ( alberta, british columbia) and anywhere. Also if a ll women rides would be of interest?? any honest opinions or suggestions would be appreciated thanks
Re: Looking for feedback on offering adventure bike tours and all ladies tours in western canada
I'd be interested but not a ladies only though necessarily (I've ridden with a bunch of ladies before and it's not for me), I have been researching various companies but unless I want to ride a cruiser (I'm a shorty!) I've had no luck, I know I could probably bum shuffle but on a bike I'm not used to and somewhere I'm not sure of I wouldn't feel comfortable which would wreck everybody else's trip and this sort of thing is just not offered anyway, it's this adventure bike in this spec. or nothing.
Good Luck and post your company name when you have it, it's a stunning part of the world I'd love to visit by bike!

Western Canada tour yes I would be interested in that, ladies only good question not many ladies part take in this forum so not sure about the market out there. Is anyone else offering a Ladies only ? if so there must/might be a market or you could just push the boundaries and advertise one what you got to loose ?

As the female part of 3Bs Biking, I can safely say that a ladies only tour would be my worst nightmare!
But if you feel there is a market for them then I echo the earlier post re bike height. When we tour in South Africa, I hire a F700GS with low suspension and low seat. I'm not a big fan of them but it is generally all that's available in a lower seat height.

ya we really wanted to offer adventure bike ride, really hitting the mountains and going off road and up sides of mountains. ya we don't want to do exclusive ladies i just noticed doesn't seem to be much out there for them.

Well the Plan currently Looks like the choice of bike would be the CB500X with the Full Rally Raid conversion as its ideally suited in many ways to the sort of terrain we are looking at not too big But very capable,
Terrain wise we are looking at the eastern slopes of the Rockies, Jasper, Banff, with the aim to be roughly a 50/50 mix of off road and on road riding, we are fortunate enough to have over 500km of completely ungraded highway through the foothills (Google Alberta's Forestry Trunk Rd) Off Road Mountain ascents, and the splendour of the Ice Fields Parkway,
Accommodation will be provided and will be a Mix of Mountain Cabins, Wild Camping, the odd hotel night, and all meals will be provided.
We are really not about Road tours but giving people the chance to see some real mountain wilderness.
With flights at an all time low, cost wise, and the exchange rate favouring the UK pound at an all time high, it seems like an ideal opportunity.
The plan is to bring this all in with comprehensive insurance at Just under 2K in pounds not including flights
There are operators out there offering flights to Calgary or Edmonton this year for 500 return,

you will only ever know for sure one way (thumbs)
I know your "brain storming" oh dear can we say that now a days ? but a lot of guys on here would just pack their bike and go, so I suspect your market is slightly different you need the one who want an "adventure" with the safety net of back up of a tour.
I have biker mates who wont ride across France on their own, but they have gone on organised tours before. These are the guys who think I'm odd for not wanting to do an organised tour and it's each to their own.

^^ I agree as far as Europe and maybe even North Africa is concerned. But considering crossing the Atlantic I think raises logistics to a whole new level.
I'm not about organised groups either but at that price I would definitely be interested.
