Well I had to go into Preston today to sort some stuff out so I took the bike.
I replicated pretty much the type of journey last week when it was cutting out. Some 50/60/70mph stuff then loads of stop-start city traffic.
45 miles and it behaved impeccably. Am I in the clear or am I heading for a fall?

As I've said previously - I need to do mine sometime :pinch:

First thing I need to do is to buy a replacement pump I guess

Actually, somewhere I have a spare....Windy bought two (Toyota Corolla pumps) when it gave up the ghost in Morocco and he gave me it when I bought the bike off him.
Interesting to know that the pumps are the same.
Can you please let me know the Toyota model year or even better the Toyota pump part number. Thanks.

Brilliant mate! I had a quick look for the one I had hanging around my garage 2 years ago but I think the pump fairy has been.
At £20 with free delivery I ordered 2!

I only found out about the ability to replace the original with a Toyota Corola pump after a conversation with a chap who rode around Africa on an 800GS and it broke down - once the problem had been identified as the pump he was told by a local bush mechanic that a $35 Toyota pump would solve his problem and not to bother spending circa £350 on a genuine BMW one :)
