Up for grabs really the original 'tour' was for four days plus a return back to the Pyrenees, but this gig there isn't really a plan. Meanwhile a PM for you kind sir! (thumbs)

And relied to! (thumbs)

For the interest of others:

The HISS is totally informal, five days of riding along trails that I've selected for their lovely scenery, suitable for all sorts of riding styles, experience, etc. - you have to make up your own minds what that is, and some amazing road sections in between - although most trails connect directly a bit like a gigantic map of the Underground! - and, of course, all are legal and have right of way subject to local rules and regulations.

There are no 'rules', apart from the above, no 'teams', no competition. You just pal up with some other riders over tyre kicking, chat, beers in the bar, etc. and set off the next day - OK, some groups of mates stick together but other usually tag along. If you find the going to tough - or not! - the just ask around and join another group. I recommend a minimum of four for safety's sake and the regs are that groups of riders mustn't be more the seven bikes together - simple.

You can hire Suzi DRZ's from Rent-a-Tiger in Barcelona - 125 miles away. I've met the owner, Anton, who's a top bloke and speaks excellent English. His base is two minutes walk from the city's central station so easy to get to from the airport. He can also deliver and collect these bikes to the camping - it would make sense if there were a group of riders to make a full load. Another possibility is to have you camping luggage sent here by courier - the owners of the site are OK about taking delivery/dispatch etc. There is good public transport from Barcelona to La Pobla de Segur.

Otherwise the Tigers are also OK for trails as Anton fits them with Mitas M07's, which are good for the local conditions, and have the advantage of coming with full luggage.

The camp site if 1 km from the village, where there are twp good hotels to choose from, but the 'esprit de corps' is very much geared up to a full 'Adventure' gig - complete with snakes, guy rope fails, weapons grade snoring ...

To register I need email contact - best to use the form on my blog, where you'll also find details of payment, prices, etc. This year the HISS costs just £100 per rider - sweethearts, camp followrs and other non-participants come free! (thumbs)

Cheers

Simon

NB I'm nothung to do with either the camping nor Rent-a-Tiger - but the camping give is a discount! :)
