HiFlo Oil Filters?

There's one in my 690. Can they be reused after being washed and reoiled or am I better off just replacing?

HiFlo are (i think) the only engine oil filters certified by the German TUV.
My local KTM/Huskie shop uses them too.

If you go to an independent mechanic they usually have hi flos. I've been using them for years without issue, I like others though, treat the oil change recommendation as a typo & halve the mileage

Used K&N for years on my Daytona, simply because on a Triumph filters are a bitch to get to and the K&N have a nut on the bottom.

Clive Wood who services my Tiger though, ex Triumph techician and race team spanner monkey, gone independent, who now runs Triumph mechanic training course, won't use anything except an OEM filter. He offered to give me a Triumph filter removal tool as a gift if it meant I would stop using aftermarket oil filters.

He doesn't like the Pipercross air filter in my Tiger either though, says the Tiger runs too lean as it is and prefers OEM paper.

Ralph....what a load of tosh about pipercross being bad " because it runs lean" ...its a freeflowing filter so more air and will lean a std mixture down....mechanic is talking crap...he will say a std exhaust is better because it creates more back pressure....

Ive used non oem air,oil filters in all vehicles for close on 100,000,000 mls now...fram as eg std in moat cars with just a name on box...

What a load of .... If a guy with some gcse's fitting anything the design engineer puts in front of his nose, suddenly becomes a good source of information :dry: All I have learned working with race team spanner monkeys/T technicians is that they are full of all kind of suspicions without any technical backing to it and if they can not explain it, they just priest it as a dogma.

AND Triumph uses the cheapest oil filters they could find to buy (Hiflo is too expensive even as OEM supplier).

Personally I wouldn't use an aftermarket oil filter. I only use genuine OEM filters,and when there is only a pound difference then why use aftermarket. Makes no sense to me. But this is only my opinion.

One hundred million miles. I'm impressed. Nearly 3500 miles a day, every day for 80 years.
