Been in t' news, Any Suggestions?
"On Ilkley Moor Baht 'at" perhaps, given that Yorkshire is the largest County?
Jerusalem is pretty stirring when belted out, but a bit religious (then again, it is a hymn)

Re: English National Anthem
An instrumental version of "Only fools and horses" maybe ? No words, just stand upright with one hand on your heart and the other holding your pie and chips (behind your back, out of respect of course )

Re: English National Anthem
Surely it must just be "God save the queen." If more independent minded places have gone and got their own new national anthems they clearly don't need it anymore.
I went to the Caribbean on holiday with my wife last year.
Jamaica?
No, she wanted to.

Re: English National Anthem
I'm a long way off being a Royalist but just leave things as they are or the country will be a target for ridicule.
I'm not really into jingoism no matter which country it is and I still prefer to have a British National Anthem which belongs to all of us but if the other countries that are part of the Union choose to sing something different then that's their choice and I really don't have a problem with it.
I've got to admit that there's something rather special about going to a major sporting occasion and singing God Save YOUR Gracious Queen to the opposition supporters (thumbs)
