Head north from Larne and take the stunning Antrim Coast Road, take in Torr Head if you can (thumbs)

Eventually you will come to Magilligan. Get the ferry over to Greencastle in Donegal (Check times to see if it is operating) and continue to follow the coast and hit the Wild Atlantic Way going south on the west coast.

A 300 mile per day is a bit optimistic if you want to take in some sights.

Enjoy I went for 5 days last year with me mate Colin, done the north, and just followed the coast, we stayed in Belfast & Londonderry and a couple of other smaller towns, great riding saw Joey Dunlops memorial etc, I definitely want to do the wild Atlantic way next time

Heading along the coast anti clockwise from Larne is the best plan as already posted.
Just keep going, once into Donegal the WAW is never far away. Heading south from Donegal there will always be a main road to Dublin port if your running out of time.

However the ferry suggested by Heff is no longer running, so stick to the road as lough Foyle is very deep.
However you go have a great time. Accommodation in April/May will be easy as long as it's not the weekend.

My advice is that it can be lovely but don't make final decisions until you see what the weather is doing. Anywhere is good and so much better if you can be selective. We had a weekend in Kerry on the WAW planned last August and weather down there was wet wet wet. We stayed put and took in Wicklow mountains, Sally Gap, also took in Hook Head etc and the guys were thrilled with it. We then headed up the west coast via Limerick as we knew weather was ok there. As they said, we can do the rest another time.

Your trip is short so my take is spend it in whatever part the weather s ok in, with a bit of luck you will get some nice bike roads and somewhere nice to stay. You could spend the whole time in Antrim and Down and be mesmerised without getting any further.

Wild Atlantic Way is absolutely worth doing. 300+ would be tight going. I did it last summer and some days just doing 240 ish was about 12-14 hours in the saddle.

Planning to visit the Emerald Isle again this summer, had a great time doing half a ring of Ireland in summer 14, went north from Belfast and basically sort of stuck to the coast road, everything was going well but had a bike problem in Dingle and was stuck there for a few days longer than planned, not a bad place to be stuck mind, anyhow got bike sorted but time was running out and had to shoot across to Rosslare for ferry, managed to fit in an overnight stop in Waterford which was nice. This coming summer plan on doing the half I missed out on, gunna go south from Belfast, across the bottom and get at least back to Dingle or even further if possible time permitting, any advice on nice places to stay on the east and south coast would be appreciated.
