Hi Jen,
That was the best ride report I've read. Great pics, very informative and your price breakdown for Spanish Pat was great.
I'm really sold on having a go at this trail. Thanks very much.

Only just found the time to sit and properly read this whole report, and it's superb! Thanks Jenny for all the time and effort you've taken to document your epic trip, I really enjoyed it

Hi Jenny,
Thanks for a great report, what a great read & pictures.
Hi Steve,
Thats looks like a great setup, I will be waiting to see how you get on with the exc.
Have you looked into oil coolers, I found this one oil cooler but not sure if it would fit with your fuel tank.
I also thought about a rally bash plate that has a water compartment and use that to carry oil.

I also need to plot suitable dealers on route for oil changes (I don't want to carry oil) I expect I'd change oil every 1200 or so miles.
Re: Trans-Am 500 - the seven year itch
Thanks Tourist-Biker,
I won't be getting an oil cooler, but I've got a Cush drive hub and Heavy duty rim and SS spokes on order.
I'll be using a tubeliss system.
It will be interesting to do the TAT on the 450exc. I may get a ali bash plate, but the stock one's pretty durable.
I probably won't carry any oil, I plan to change the oil may be every 1000-1200 miles, but I'll use KTM dealers near the route, I don't want the hassle of carring and then disposing of oil.
I'll have the bike serviced may be two times.....I'll probably be covering about 8-9000 miles over eight weeks.

Please excuse my ignorance but is the cush drive to protected the chain/sprockets or gearbox or just to for the feel.SteveW wrote: I've got a Cush drive hub and Heavy duty rim and SS spokes on order.
Cheers
