Found a great video then post it up here. It doesn't have to be about bikes.

WTF!! Words fail me except to say may I wish you the need to be in dire need of a Police Officer but at the critical point of phoning the Police your phone runs out of battery.

I am thankful people like him are brave enough to do a job many wouldn't, couldn't or shouldn't.
May he rest in Peace and I wish his family my deepest sympathy.

I think it is very difficult to do anything other than take what you say 'wrong'.

A 'person' deliberately drove at and killed a human being for no other reason than that person was wearing a blue uniform. And whilst you may feel that you owe him nothing, your whole way of like in this country, the freedoms you enjoy in part are built on the traditions of that blue uniform (through the men and women who wear it) because if they don't fill it, it is just a pile of cloth on the floor.

Just for the record it is not job, the office of Constable does not apply just 8 hours a day. It is 24 / 7 for 30 years or more.

And I hope you are nibble on your feet or looking the right way when someone comes at you with a lethal weapon intent on killing you.
Never enough time and so much to see and experience.

Previously a VStrom 650, and a KTM SMR 950, currently XT600E with many mods. And now a F800GS Trophy since the KTM has gone.

I hope that redneck posting from the US doesn't read this and use it to reinforce his argument about guns :(

I'll be charitable and say Steves post has probably come across badly rather than him actually being a total fucking idiot

Very very odd thing to say, to serve and protect, thats a police officers role.

Going by your comments you wont be buying/wearing a poppy either, because those brave souls who lost there lives serving and protecting 'should have got out of the way also?
no i dont wear a poppy, but give generously, as my father fought at arnhem, his bother died in the north atlantic and his son in north africa
my nephews fought in the gulf, yes i do not wear the poppy.

many people die in the chosen profession be it an engineer, ambulance driver or sports man/women etc, we make choices but to die for a stolen car is nothing to compare to freedom and oppression
the org comment being made on my behalf is my point of objection

if you dont like it thats fine because its what my family fought and died for and i am grateful to have that choice

But....

With this freedom goes responsibility.

Sadly, some people vigorously exercise the former and ignore the latter.

Just because you can say something does not mean you should.

It is a road we are, as a society accelerating down. Insensitivity is, insensitivity, regardless of how you dress it up or try to justify it.

As for having the balls to say it: I doubt it would have been said to the Officers widow. That makes it keyboard cowardice.
