Re: Desierto Gorafe
I see from Google maps that it's an area rich in neolithic megaliths which is something that always interests me. I'm about to go out to our casa cueva on the other side of Lake Negratin, so will have to have a ride over and take a look. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the video. Definitely looks like a place to visit. There is so much of Spain that I have so far, missed out on seeing. Need to get down there for a proper look around.

Funny this should crop up today Tim - the 100th anniversary of the land that contained Stonehenge being bought at auction by the bloke who later donated it to the nation ...Tim Cullis wrote:I see from Google maps that it's an area rich in neolithic megaliths which is something that always interests me.

Re: Desierto Gorafe
Thanks for your video, Tim, and yes, Gorafe is famous for its megaliths. The oldest are 5000 years old and the area is full of them ranging from "excellent shape" to "a pile of stones". There is also a small museum in the village of Gorafe. Sound like your casa cueva is very close. You can enter Desierto Gorafe on tracks from the west side of Lake Negratin. Re: Desierto Gorafe
Looks great, there's a bit very like that near me in the Sierra Espuna and around the Mazarron area. Tracks are easy to ride and go on forever. I might have to pop over to the Gorafe area and have a look for myself.
