As Heff as briefly mentioned, a group of 10 of us from N.Ireland have just returned from a 9 day trip from the Pyrenees.
Day 1 had us riding the 90 miles to Dublin port to catch the overnight ferry to Cherbourg France.
Soon we were on board & on our way
And steaming out of Dublin port

Day 2 (Sunday) and we were off the ferry about midday and heading south through France to our first cqmpsite and the only one pre booked as we were meeting up with three of the party there.
The campsite was located in a lovely town called Pons
The campsite was a welcome site after about 360 miles with a nice cold beer awaiting

Re: Pyrenees ride report
After our coffee we continued south to Oloron Sainte Marie a distance of approx 200 miles. Another coffee stop and time to look for a campsite in and around Escot just south of the town and in the Pyreenes
Which we could see in the distance

A quick look on a sat nav and a campsite was selected. We followed the route along a wee road- the D238 towards the mountains. Lots of birds of prey were seen along this road and the scenry just got better and better.
Soon we arrived at the campsite-Camping Du Moulin de Barescou

Day 4 and the weatber just got better. We had breakfast of croissants that two of the group had got the evening before and freshly brewed coffee.
We headed across to the main E7 and headed south for Spain.
Rather than taking the tunnel, we turned up the Col du Somport a road that went up through the mountains and down the other side into Spain. A fantastic road
