if its the MAF sensor you might get away with cleaning it,a quick google search comes up with turbo resonator problems,EGR valves,dpf filters and blocked fuel filters.what were the symtoms of the failure,has it been serviced reguarley?

Cheers mick yes been serviced regular filters oils etc looked on the net seems it could be a whole host of things from brake light switches to turbo vanes so need to get it to someone that knows a lot more than me.

Well stone me - we got 'home' from Casa Rafela later than expected last night after our guests there arrived two hours late, and the HISS had already begun!

Ard and Tess, having loaded their bikes and then packed their van around them decided not to stay at Phil's place - which sounds fantastic, when we were there it was more or less a hole in the ground! - for a day's trailing with him, but instead pressed on here yesterday.

And we grumble about the Germans getting to the swimming pool early in the morning, this is takings such behaviour to ridiculous lengths.... Nearly a week in advance!!

Mind, it'll be good to know Ard n'Tess have "swept" the routes first for dangers, wild animals and the like (thumbs)
