I've done it and id rather do that route than route 66 personaly

That's the best time of year to do it.I did 750 miles over 3 days April '14 up to Durness then down to Skye in sunshine and travelled for 40 miles between Durness and Ullapool before I came up behind a car.

I'm pretty sure it is but I've just noticed that piece of road isn't actually on the route! :laugh:

I did a lot of that route last September as part of the Ride Magazine tour of Scotland tour. Fantastic roads and I even had some good weather to boot.

Scotland in good weather is damn near impossible to beat love the place, lots of great memories touring there and all being well, more to come.

. Yip and with a population of under 5 mil , the roads are quiet , and a great quality of life ,and the locals are friendly . Ps dinae tell everyone.Al (thumbs)
