That's the best time of year to do it.I did 750 miles over 3 days April '14 up to Durness then down to Skye in sunshine and travelled for 40 miles between Durness and Ullapool before I came up behind a car.Trev wrote:Did about 3/4 of that (not the North East top bit) back in April on the NC700 and enjoyed absolutely perfect clear blue skies to boot. I did a lot of that route last September as part of the Ride Magazine tour of Scotland tour. Fantastic roads and I even had some good weather to boot.

. Yip and with a population of under 5 mil , the roads are quiet , and a great quality of life ,and the locals are friendly .
