Well I made it to Cork at least - weather went from grim to ok, to really really grim, to rather lovely, oh and Kinsale is an awesome little spot!

Weve just booked the ferry for 10 days of riding the WAW at the end of the month, currently praying it stays sunny! Keep the pics coming...any must see/do sections?

We did overnights (from Yorkshire) in Penrith after work, Carrickfergus, Buncrana, Donegal, Westport, Kinvarra, Killarney (2 nights), Kilkenny and Holyhead.

In retrospect I’d have missed the North Antrim coast and Donegal and headed straight to Westport followed by Killarney and the Ring of Kerry

The start/finish of the WAW is Muff in Donegal and Kinsale in Cork. There is over 300 miles between the two locations so the weather at both locations could be very different. I would be checking the weather in Ireland on the eve of arrival and start where the weather is best. Re places to visit , there are loads, but, in short I would just follow the well marked signs and you should not be disappointed as there are no shortage of interesting sites, stunning views etc.
The last two ABR Ireland Rallys included some of the WAW in Donegal, if you check them out on the forum there are pictures. There are also a couple of Ride Reports in the Ireland regional group that have taken in the WAW, also with pictures.

Enjoy your trip.

We did this route over 5 days a few years ago, stopping off at places, so although truncated, can't see why a week wouldn't be enough.

I posted this in 2015, but yep a week is plenty. Took 5 1/2 days. But to be fair they were long enough days and every inch of the near 2500km was covered.

Just got back from riding this over the course of almost a week. A few long days but managed to get right out to the peninsulas/dingle/north coast etc. Beautiful roads but my shoulder and wrists are now mush. Few pics... :)

And bravo for completing it on the Ducati.
