The worst case scenario is a military coup and a handy little war over Cyprus again. That'll get the nationalistic blood boiling and divert attention away from financial issues for a year or two.

It's worked for more than one government over the years.

the rest of the money went to pay back the banks,

so Greece didn't benefit from the bail out, but now their stuck with a huge debt that's impossible to pay back
Greece's bailout from the EU was to pay back a massive debt to Goldman Sachs, a private bank. At the time Greece's economy had been shrinking for years and there was no hint of a credible plan to turn that around. Public money was knowingly pissed away to prevent the owners and shareholder of Goldman Sachs from losing their shirts. Bent is the understatement of the century.

It certainly would be a worst case as there is no union between Greece & Cyprus.
Both are Independent entities with their own national flag & a common language between Greeks & Greek speaking Cypriots.
Don't think either of them could afford or have any desire to go to war with Turkey.

An opinion which he's entitled to and I don't see you posting anything more intelligent.

I've never met Andy B, never met you, not mates or enemies with either of you, but I'm sick of reading this vitriolic vendetta which is spoiling the forum for the rest of us.

Give it a f***ing break will you!

Thanks Ralph, That saved me the effort of trying to be polite.

The easiest way to explain where my 'opinion' came from is by posting a link

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyprus_dispute

Not an 'opinion' just a reminder of history :)
