HAD A GUT FULL OFF WITH WORK
As is says !!!!
been working on Jax Shack night and weekends , got it nearly there.....but thats another tale B)
So at around 3.30 i downed tools and wheeled the donk out into the 36°c B)
My nearest lane is out the back gate but today i ventured further afield ....well to the next nearest 200yds ish away.
There's a couple of little lakes down here fed by the "Ruisseau de Tournefeuille" that feed a procession of moulins (mills)
Up the other side of the valley another ell used by me lane
Been here in France for over 10 years now and went down yet another new back road less than 5kms from home :woohoo:
When i finally came out onto a "main road" i knew where i was and had a little grin to myself as i'd pass this sign to many times
This is obviously route 1 and the little markers are rotated in the direction of the trail............looked a little over grown but why not try it
Soon opened up into this (thumbs) nice easy open tracks for the donk
A 100yds up this red arrow on the tree caught my intrest  so those that know me i had to have a look
more later

Re: HAD A GUT FULL OFF WITH WORK
Where does the red arrow go ?????????????
ooooppppsss
it did hold the donk !!! twice in fact because it got a little to tight on my own
i'll be back though , its a little hard to see but there's a red mark on the floor and a yellow one on the tree ..............so i've got to try it
Anyway turned back onto the original route that also got .....interesting !!!
Now thats steep and the road is now a footpath :pinch: should i turn round while i can ?????
Silly question ...........for me anyway :woohoo:
Glad i carried on even if it was a bit twitchy , came to this half way down
It'd be fun in the wet :silly: better on the AJP me thinks
The last bit and you can make out the locked back brake skid
and apparantly it goes to Milhac !!!!
Still following yellow route 1 or should i try blue or red

Re: HAD A GUT FULL OFF WITH WORK
All started well and to be honest thought i'd run out of trail and end up going home
I was wrong
Very wrong !!! it opened up to this
Then this
and ending at this little doer uper B)
This garden is just to perfect :woohoo:
Still following the yellow trail , you have to keep your eyes peeled they are all over and easy to miss
Like this , turn left
And again across this field
to this !!! ohhhh dear thats small and steep ..........lets see
I had no idea where i was and it wasn't going to be easy to turn round
Ehhh up i recognise this
I'd done less than 20kms and still no more than 8kms from home (thumbs) and nearly all new stuff

Re: HAD A GUT FULL OFF WITH WORK
From here i noticed the GR64 on me twatnav :woohoo: trust me thats a special moment for me :side:
So after a small diversion round Payrignac i got on this to Le Vigan
Following the red and white post(GR markers) (thumbs)
There was a km or two of tar but then back into the woods
Came across this amazing dead walnut tree , must have been hundredsof years old
How many monsters can you see ??????
Looks like the "Woodpecker Hilton" up there
Thing with these GR routes is they used to be main road years ago and some of the things you encounter are bizzar !!! is is at the end of the dirt track
After that the road started and i was on the outskirts of Gourdon , 14kms from home !!! and about 1hr 30mins riding
Note to self " stop here for brew when with group" B)

Re: HAD A GUT FULL OFF WITH WORK
Thanks guy @ Bob... you're right its just to good
@ Herman ...that looks bloody cold
@ Simon....you keep threatening (thumbs)
Anyway after passing through Gourdon on the GR64 it took me passed the Notre-Dame des Neiges church
Now my Latin is pretty ropey but i think it says "OLD CHURCH"
And here's the confirmation....1652
Needs a bit of titivation inside
Jesus has no arms and the green on the wall is mould
Any joiners out there
The trail started straight after (thumbs)
Don't know who this is but hes happy and hot
Trouble with the GR routes is that they are usually well kept, fast open gravel tracks and i like a bit of rough, so when this junction came up those that know me can guess which one i chose :silly:
Le Vigan 5.7km
or St Chamarand 14.4km
up here
