That's a great combination, Nordicbiker!nordicbiker wrote:The Honda might be a good compromise for travel on both paved and unpaved roads, but nobody has seen or ridden that bike yet. It all depends on the weight, if I would dare to take it out on the trails in the woods.
I am in the lucky situation to have space for two bikes, so for me the perfect combination is
- CCM 450 for the dirt (tried some unexplored trails last weekend, got stuck and really enjoyed the low weight, when I needed to lift the back out of a sh...hole!) and
- KTM 1050 for onroad touring. I recently also tried some well-graded dirt roads, which works ok as long as the ground is not wet and soft. We have plenty of unpaved roads here in Sweden, so as soon as the original rubber is gone the bike will get some new TKC70 which should work for well for those roads. But never ever will I take that heavy bike on unknown trails in the woods!
So lets wait for the official presentation of the new AT - this might really be the perfect compromise if you need one to rule them all!
