I got my first ticket for 25 years recently and I was really pee'd off, mainly with myself, so I know how you feel Steve but if I'm honest it was well overdue.
It is what it is and I'm sure if we had lost a loved one around the site of a camera then we really would have something to be angry about.
I've just slowed down a bit and try to stick to a maximum of +10% instead of +10mph

To be honest I get more pleasure out of cycling these days as I never signed up to feather the throttle at 30mph on a motorbike.
Infact, riding within the law bores me shitless if the truth were told!

They used the most spurious data to justify siting them. In one instance they put the camera on the A road but the accident data related to the nearby B road. Didn't care as they wanted to catch the vehicles doing 60mph+ on the A road.

And as such, in my opinion, each camera should have a current speed limit sign on it.
All too often repeater signs aren't spaced correctly and it is easy to drift from one limit to another and lose track.

Has anyone noticed how much attention is now given to looking and seeing the speedo while keeping to 30 and 40 mph and not at looking where we are going?

I wonder if there is any research comparing risk awareness when driving 'normally' and when driving fearful of doing 32 mph in a 30 zone?

We have 20 mph zones everywhere in Bristol now and they are being enforced by the speed-nazi vans. How long before someone on a bike gets hit up the arse by an impatient car driver :blink:
