HISS Mileage / Kmage for the 8 days was.
2188km or 1360 miles.
Do not have the off-road / road km split yet, but working on it on the GPX logs.
But it was a 100% fantastic event.
All those who missed it, well you missed a brilliant week, of the best riding trails and roads, and great people.
Many thanks to Simon & Polly, and special mention to the U Turn team, as we made many U turns each day on the trails. I blame the Garmin !!
Will going back to the Aragón area, and definatley will be booking for next year.

Back safely just before Midnight, after a speedy run up from Pompey last night. Happily the Sanatander crossing was like a millpond, although after not much sleep the last night in Algarbre and then a tough day to Santander in horrible wind, I was going to sleep like a log even without some "zonk out" tablets! The rain was just starting as I turned into the farm lane, good timing or what... Pissing down all night and all morning..Home again!

Total milage about 2200. Tyres front half worn, rear K60 holding up well.

Impressions? Grand company as ever, trails were fun, the Jalahambre area was especially good, trails a bit more demanding and some spectacular views. If only Simon had turned off the bloody wind...!!!! Bar was great fun and the food varied.

Ta to my riding buddy for his tolerance and patience, I'm sorry we did not part at the Port a little more civilised fashion, but an overly officious copper told a small group of us to clear off his double yellow lines... Hope all theother Santander lads made it back safely last night and did not get wet.

Roll on Catalunya and September, I say!

Just got back late last night after a much more relaxed return home (no iron butt challenge stuff)set off to Vielha and camped then to Rocamadour for the night and then the ferry home,what a quality 10 days its been , many thanks to simon & polly for all the hard work that went into arranging it and all the friendly guys & gals that attended,a special thanks to mick & paul & marko for making my first Hiss trip special many thanks total miles 3184

Great to hear you're home safe and sound. Paul mailed me to say he goy home on Friday night with everything working like clockwork. His bike to follow.

That's his story so I'll leave it up to him for the details, but of course I've passed on all the good wishes fom the rest of you (thumbs)

Huge thanks to Simon,Polly, Caspar in his boiler suit and mono brow and everyone else we met. Tony and I had a great time. We went the scenic way to Llaida and Simon's mate in the BMW dealership had the bike sorted by 11 AM the next day ( It was the water pump seal) . We then took another 3 days cross country up to the Caen ferry . A great trip..

Great to hear this Scott - and a special thanks to Tony for phoning me to say that all was well - the timing couldn't have been better as I had literally just heard from Paul that his repatriation was sorted and all of the other various breakdowns; starter motors, spokes, tyres, inner tubes, etc. were all in hand - so Polly and I could relax . . . not bad for a Thursday :whistle:
