Hello all, I'm just back from the Dambuster run over in Northern Germany and have decided to sell my Zumo. Any offers? All the missing bits are on the motorway just south of the Brussels ring road.

Technically speaked I'd say that it's F**ked........
I'd be interested in what would happen if you sent that to Garmin under their fixed price repair service.
As the damage is as a result of the poor quality of the mount they produce for the 660.
A serious downgrade on the quality of the mount for the 400/450/550.
After a number of reports of this I invested in a TT locakable mount. It serves the dual purpose of then being a theft deterrent in the event I have to leave the bike for short periods.

I've just been on the phone to Garmin who tell me they have no record of a 660 coming off its fitting in use. I bet.
The mount is defo a downgrade on the previous 550 and an accident waiting to happen.

I'm sure I could get evidence of several...........Alun wrote:I've just been on the phone to Garmin who tell me they have no record of a 660 coming off its fitting in use. I bet.

I would think the editor of a popular and well-read magazine would get a freebie replacement from Garmin, on the condition that he "keeps his mouth shut".....Alun wrote:I've just been on the phone to Garmin who tell me they have no record of a 660 coming off its fitting in use. I bet.

You should talk to ted99uk about Garmin's fixed price repairs scheme - or maybe he's just a lucky guy!
Enjoy

Very interested Alun. Is it waterproof and did you plot the missing pieces on the satnav?
£1.00? P+P inc of course.

Ha ha! Cool!
With my luck I've always used a lanyard with mine, tied to the bars! I've seen both my Garmin and my Tomtom rattling between the forks so been glad of my lanyard!
I just use my Nokia X6 now, used every day as a phone, also bluetooth to helmet, mp3 player, satnav and a 5mp camera with video makes it perfect for my needs. Cradles on the Vara and Tiger dash, perfect.
