Lovely bike.
The problem with older bikes in A1 condition is that the value starts to plummet as soon they are used 'properly'.

I've got one exactly the same - even to the colour

Well maybe bikes are expensive for some but obviously not for others ... Maybe he has a fleet of bikes and that's just one of the well used ones ...
