There is a "chosen" charity that the NNR ask for "donations".But, to be more transparent it would be better described by the NNR themselves.

The option to fundraise is left to individual competitors. Riders who can show that they have raised £250.00 or more can apply to Alison Devine, after the Rally, to have their entry fee refunded."

For anyone that enjoys long distance riding, especially at night, this is a great event.
Very well organised. The atmosphere at some of the controls is great.
Well worth doing.
I'll be there.
