Pauls at Kirkby Stephen I would certainly recommend!

For Oban, I use Oban divers, biker friendly, out of the town a bit so peaceful and quiet. A nice BBQ area to cook in if the weather's not so nice.

Ah hem,,,, Why stay in the lakes following caravans all day on Bank holiday weekend. I know where there is a site in the Howgills at Kirkby Stephen.

Lovely flat site, £7 per person per night, including hot showers.

Fantastic roads and scenery, hospitable hosts, on site shop for Bacon, eggs, camping gas etc, short walk to pubs, shops, chippies, Chinese, Indian etc.
