I have tried but can't do it...it makes me edgy.

I listen to the bike, which is the result of riding old nails for years. Ones without working rev counters, speedo's... dodgy valve gear etc... always handy to know if it is about to go wrong :D But I also listen out for things around me as well and like to use all senses for riding if you know what I mean. Think that comes from 20 years of riding in heavy London or London bound traffic when I worked out of Hertfordshire.

speedo's...
You ride in speedos  :P
I have to plug my ears with something, the bike came with an Arrows system and until I can source a second hand system I'm trying to keep Tinitus at bay.
Fast music tends to make me ride faster than my skill allows

Having recently seen the 1981 film documentary Dance Craze http://imdb.com/title/tt0150265/ at the Bradford International Film Festival ,a first showing of this fantastic film since its first-run in 1981. I’ve gone back to listening to the old 2-Tone stuff…

That brings back distant and very blury memories of being at Nottingham's Rock City some time round Christmas (had to be 'cause I bought their "Merry Clitoris" t-shirt) back in the late 1980s! :woohoo:

Pendulum, saw them in London last year. Nothing like being in your 40's stood with a load of screaming teens and singing louder
On the plus side they let the 'granny' with the camera go to the front
+1 for Eddi Reader, great voice.
