Thanks for the invite and offers Omar, I'd love to ride around Egypt and will get there one day. Earlier this year I started mapping out a ride around the Mediteranian coast for 2012 from Algeria through Tunisia, Libya and into Egypt but with all that's happening in North Africa that might not be possible.

Are all areas of the Egypian desert open to ride bikes or are some regions restricted? And what would you consider to be the most adventurous route in Egypt?

well sorry for your plans
but perhaps it will calm down soon in libya ,its the only place i wont think that you can ride through now hehehe
about Egyptian deserts we have lots of rules permits for desert ,but there is many other routes you can do ,but i will tell you very clear you must have a support car or at least other riders,as it will beso hard if any thing went wrong ,
i can suggest you some routes depend on what type of bikes do you have ,your skills off raod ,the range for your fuel ,and of course how long you will be planning to stay
