FS 1989 Kawasaki Tengai - NON Runner - Spares or Repairs

For sale is my 1989 Kawasaki Tengai KL 650 B1.

Non runner - think it might be lack of compression (but no knowledge whatsoever!!)

Recent new battery, recovered seat, braided brake lines and usual fluid changes. Givi top box plate.

Was running sweet as a nut but then stopped mid ride.

Has £200s worth of new tyres on as I changed them for the trip it broke down on.

Want £600 but will consider offers as don't want to break it ...

Could be something simple like the side stand switch or maybe ignition.

It must be worth having a look and trying to fix it yourself.

Kawasaki KLR, short on compression? Chances are top end will be toast, usual fault with them was valves colliding with piston tops!Or cam chain broken, common with them.
Sorry mate, rebuilt a couple of them, not a cheap job. Best of luck with your sale.

does it have a spark

For a cool bike.
Mine only ever had a carb problem, bits of plastic from a hose that a previous owner fitted.
