What would make you give up biking?

I've been biking for 50 years this year and I don't think I could stop if I tried. Maybe if there was a rigorously enforced ban on any kind of filtering I'd get so frustrated I'd commit murder and then spend the rest of my life in jail and I guess failing health could make it physically impossible, but i don't intend to live that long. That's a good reason to get out on the bike as much as possible, pump up the odds ;)

Money (lack of)

Ill Health

Injury

Family (wife and young kids pressure)

Change of Direction (new hobby)

Danger of Road Biking (self awareness)

Boredom (with biking)
I can tick most of your list and still enjoy my bike so i guess there is only one thing going to stop me, but then maybe the pearly gates mc ! (thumbs)

A woman that does not understand and is totally against bikes can do it love being a fickle thing, etc. One of my old riding buddies had that happen to him, he went from riding all over Europe on his R100 to quitting in three weeks. None of us saw that coming to be sure. I am lucky in that Lilly Munster rides bikes and has before now actually told me to go buy another bike. Recently sold a Yam 250 custom to an elderly gent that was not gonna give up but was getting a bit frail with the weight of 500s and I hope I can keep his determination. I can picture many things not being part of my life but a bike is certainly not one of them.
The secret of a long life is knowing when its time to go.
