I'm working in our Kendal office at the moment so set my alarm for 10 minutes early expecting to see snow and there's nothing. There's plenty of snow on the surrounding hills but the ground is clear in the town though it must have snowed a bit last night because there was some on my windscreen but it wasn't frozen and the wipers removed it without any scraping.

My son drove over from Kendal to Barrow at 06:30 this morning and when I spoke to him on the phone a short while ago he said the road was clear and there was only a small amount on the highest parts of the road. I suspect he's a bit annoyed because he should have gone back to Aberdeen yesterday but we told him the roads would be bad all weekend so he's working the weekend down here now
