I go every year in early May for the pre65 trial in Kinlochleven then go elsewhere after, even though the Ft William area is busy with the 6 Day Trial as well there is usually still vacancies at B+Bs but obviously not as much choice as usual.

Scotland is rubbish, particularly on a motor bike, I wouldn't bother, way too busy the roads, especially North West.

I'd say late April,May,early June. They weather's usually more settled then and there's no midgies.I did a 750 mile route last Easter ( I think it was later than usual though) over 3 days and the weather was great! (thumbs)
