Re: The new Kawasaki 650
Just another "built for the road " bike. Could we tell it apart from the suzuki or triumph if there was no name on the tank.

Re: The new Kawasaki 650
I'm an owner of a first generation Versys 650 which almost ticks every box for me as an "Adventure Road Bike"
They seem to have turned it into a bug eyed monster for no reason other than fashionable eye candy for the today's biker.
I really had hoped the progression might have been engineering lead but unfortunately the accountants & marketeers call all the shots & turned it from inovative in 2007 to looking like everything else around in 2015.
A Fugly Me-2 sums it up for me & I was hoping to trade up.

Lightness is everything.
Lightness with Grunt is a Scratcher!
An Adventure is not a tank transfer.

Looks cool, also looks like all the others in that sector.
And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Re: The new Kawasaki 650
Kawasaki seem to be taking the lead with new bikes with the new Z1000 being one of the best value for money all round bikes at the moment, The Versy 650 also looks like a good all round bike, who really cares if they do look like a lot of other bikes,if they do what it says on the tin without costing the earth what more can anyone want,

Re: The new Kawasaki 650
The reason they all "look the same" is cos thats what people are buying. At least they are usable/practical after years of identi-kit tupperware torpedoes and feck all else.
I prefer the "ugly" original.
