the one mentioned in new milton used to sell a lot of clothing not been in there for a couple of years though but it's still there, there also used to be a huge warehouse on bournemouth airport ind est that supplied the surplus shops not sure if they sell direct though.

There's quite a good one called Base in the Charminster area of Bournemouth. They sell all sorts of army, raf, police goretex. Think I paid £25 for my trousers there.

p.s. they have funny opening hours so check they're open before turning up hoping it's open 9 to 5.
pps. I seem to recall some Dutch and/or German forces gear there too

This company is located in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. They have range of gortex waterproofs of various camo styles, Jackets are £30 trousers £20. Some of the styles are a denim type feel as you describe.

There's a army surplus warehouse on marsh barton industrial estate at exeter.

Wow thanks all that's a lot of leads!

As I'm doing delivery work for various companies I should be able to drop in on at least a few of those while out and about - think I better plot them all on a map or sommat ...

There is also an Army Surplus shop in Bournemouth, just off of the Landsdown roundabout on the road that takes you to Cemetery Junction,
