Yes i can just imagine how far you can trace the Dakar roots back in the Crosstouer linage, still LOL. But hey you love it and why shouldn't you its a great road bike.

Ohh hang on everyone he's found the reserve tap.

No Honda have never had anything to do with nor any success in the "Dakar"
The Tenere you can buy in the showroom is as close to the Yamaha competition Dakar bike as the Crosstourer is to these fine machines (see pic)
Still waiting for a definitive answer as to where the Yamaha will go that the Honda won't. I'm not saying the Yamaha is not a good bike, I actually like it a lot and will probably try one in the future but I wouldn't make such sweeping statements as you did without some serious way of backing up your bold claim.

Again, I'll come in and say I'll put my money down and put my Crosstourer against the Tenere any time.

This is a mere pissing contest, fucking grow up. (Stop pushing Cosmo's buttons! LOL!)

Both Yamaha's S10 and the Crosstourer are phenomenal adventure style bikes and brilliant two up tourers capable of a bit of hard tracks, but be aware, both would sink like the Bismark in a peat bog!

I'd have both, but personal choice I opt for the Honda, it's like an expensive suit, personal choice.
Honda, the power of dreams.

In answer to your question, none are but here are some single cylinder examples to give you some perspective.

Boxing is now on CH5 so I'm off, night all, catch you again soon ;-)

Like has been said before about pissing contest, I'm not in any way competing in who's bike is better here, I was just intrigued by one persons opinion of how one bike can do something the other bike simply cannot which is complete and utter bullshit unless of course someone wants to prove me different.
We all love our own bikes, this is why we spent circa £15,000:00 on them when new however get some perspective lads, none of them are really much different than the other. It's like saying a Vauxhall Astra will go from Lands End to John O'Groates where the Ford Focus had no chance and will give up the ghost at Birmingham. Anyone ( like e feces 191 ) who makes such ridiculous statements needs a reality check is all I'm saying.

(As for the cock comparison website, I faired quite well in actual fact!)
