Africa Twins. Are they still out there? UPDATE

Post by OnHellas »

Back in 1994 I bought a brand new 1992 model RD04 in black/white/red.
The reg number was L312 FKN

In 1999 I bought a new RD07 in blue.
Reg number T480 KKJ
It had a Micron can and a Touratech seat.

Are they still out there?????
Just interested, could be tempted?

Haven't a clue if they're still out there but co-incidentally I bought a Yam XJR1300SP with the reg. T473KKJ - which I still have. I guess it was The Bike Shop in Faversham where you got the Africa Twin? Also, co-incidentally, I have a couple of AT's too, one from The Bike Shop!

Try going on one of the free vehicle history check sites. You will at least know if it's stolen or insured

It was The Bike Shop Faversham, Mark. I worked there, and served you with your XJR SP.

I've had it a couple of years - bought it off a mate. I'm intrigued though, because I was led to believe it was an Italian import - it's on a km speedo, and I didn't think that was a UK paint job?

Think I'm going to hang onto it and sort out some of the issues it's picked up over the years. It's been in a few fights but underneath it still has that classic old school Honda build quality. I'd like to get it running spot on but still with the scruffy exterior (my mate has a bit of a hammerite addiction, which doesn't really add anything to its appearance).

I'll let you know if I have a change of heart though (thumbs)
