For £30 it was easier than painting the frame and if the bike looks that good it will be kept on the road and another will be bought, plus when I start to do some miles on it at least I know it's in good nick

cheers Spud ;)

Here is my DR, not a 350 or 400 but a DR 650 RSE 1993 and a work in progress. Bought last September as a winter hack and slowly has had a lot of money spent on it (too much...  ).
Currently it might be pressed back into service but my commute has doubled in distance so it will be all down to how reliable it shows it self  .

I will post more photos once I have done a bit more work to it.

Hi all,

After my Summer adventure my DR350 is knackered and need/wants the following new things, can you recommend decent parts please.

Front and rear cogs to compliment my new DID chain.

Tires, am happy with K60s but would be tempted with something a little more off road biased.

Clutch cable.

Clutch plates/springs set.

Wider pegs

Grips

Race can, feel free to sell me a used one.

Cheers for any imput
And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Not sure if this one counts, I've garaged a couple of non runners for a mate whilst he moves house; an MT350 that really just needs a week or so of TLC and road-registering, and this prime example of a DR650 that looks like all it needs is new plugs and an oil change ;)

The engine's still in my buddy's shed, in a tea chest I think, but once the new bearings are in my AT I'll be looking for something to keep me busy over winter :)

Tyres - try Michelin T63's or Pirelli MT21's

Clutch Cable - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLUTCH-CABLE- ... 27c5f8c33c

Clutch - most recommend using o/e Suzuki parts

Wider pegs - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WOO-Foot-Pegs ... 5d4c6d8f04 , these are Chinese made copies of IMS pegs, I've used them on every DR I've had.

Grips - heated ones ;)

Race can - I prefer the o/e can, it's nice and quiet so you can sneak up behind Ramblers and they don't even know you're there.

Hmmmmmmmm, good question. I'll ask my mate who has both bikes and get back to you.

I think you need to show us some photos of your new bike ;)
