If I get to 86 i'll be more than happy I've had my moneys worth.
Don't see him as a hero either, just an actor.

I assume that remark was aimed at me for having the cheek to disagree with your opinion of what a hero really is??moto al wrote:. I see you village has lost an idiot? Rather than get in to an argument with someone (who probably thinks it 'heroic' in his world) to call someone an idiot for disagreeing with their view when they're not standing in front of them, but then also doesn't know the difference between 'confidants' and 'confidence' (see previous post)

Maybe you should have read that one back first before posting it too!!
Will be 'checking out' as of now instead, so feel free to talk twaddle with one less person around who might have a different view!

I saw that film too. Can't believe I've never seen it before. Was amazed of how they did the onboard race car filming way back then and James Garner could throw that thing about at speed , no green screen used on that movie and so many other faces in the film like Grahame Hill !dazcapri wrote:That's sad news,I'm just watching him in Grand Prix on BBC 2 now

Re: Sad the death of another hero
the way I commented about your silly post. ,re an 86 man living long enough ,well my father just passed away 3 months ago aged 94, unfortunately I didn't know and couldn't go to his funeral , the reason I couldn't go I was in a coma on a life support machine ,and it feel very bad I never was given the chance to tell him I loved him so much. Rockford files came to mind first but yep, I remember him as the 'original maverick'.
Growing old is inevitable - Growing up is optional
Sad the death of another hero
So referring to JG as "a hero" happens to be quite apt after all then .dazcapri wrote:He was given a medal,Purple Heart, for what he did during the Korean warbull wrote:did you know
