k60 scouts for xt660z

Post by byway billy »

just trying now to order some k60 scouts for the tenere having decided to go with these this time.
on ebay there are 90/90 x 21 for about £55
130/80 x 17 for £77
there is a 130/80 x 17 further down the list for twice this money.
am i missing anything? the ones i am looking at are winter tyres and i cant seenm to find summer ones in the size i want (does it really matter) it also doesnt state tube or tubeless from what i can see but i guess this doesnt matter if i want to use the tubes in my existing tourances.
zappa managed to find summer spec , tubed types at a good price but i am struggling and just wonder if the ones i am looking at ok.
anyone bought any that they are happy with and can point me in the right direction?

I fitted a rear K60 Scout to my Tenere last week from here.

I did only pay £66 which included the postage.

The same tyre advertised from Oponeo does say summer in there ad.

They also do a 130x80x17 with Silica

No.

It does say Tubeless on the tyre but you have to use tubes in the Tenere rims.

Can you still get the old version of k60 scout without the middle stripe thingy ? Judging by the pictures its unreliable as the sometimes dont update them .

The 130 wide one comes without the stripe in the middle, the 140 wide one comes with.
The M+S one is the "summer" one and the Si02 one is the winter one which won't last half as long as the summer one in higher temps.
It'll end in tears I tells ya.

Remember o run the pressure slightly lower than normal and expect the. To feel awful for the first couple of hundred miles. After that they are fab....love them in my Tenere.
