Guilty as charged your Honour
I was at the ferry crossing to Stornaway. I was on route to benbecula to the range. Still up here working. I nearly came over for a chat to see where you was heading. Was jealous as hell as you was on bike and I wasn't. Shame you still not up here as weather has been fantastic past few days

I did eyeball a full Colonel at Ullapool and wondered why the Army presence, all became clear when I went down the range road at Benbecula for a nose

Chaos is the only camouflage that incompetence needs to operate at full capacity.

Enjoyed reading that. Thanks for posting.
Been to Scotland a few times but never to the Islands. Definitely on the wish list now.

The one thing I wish I did was purchase the CalMac 'Hopscotch' ticket (great name!)as that would have been cheaper than just turning up and buying my ticket on the spot for the ferry I fancied taking.

Last year a hopscotch was about £65 and it took me from Maiaig to Skye,Skye to Tarbert on Harris drove to Stornoway on Lewis then using the hopscotch from Stornoway into Ullapool.
Stay at a small campsite at Lickisto on Harris, its a bloody brilliant place, ride over to Leverborough and see a local fisherman named Murdo Mcculloch who will sell hand dived scallops, crabs lobster and langostines straight out of his keeping pots, take em back all live and snapping and boil em on the sea shore at Lickisto. Best tea ever,or at least untill i go back the next year.
