Re: Euro Vision
Here's the thing, the winner was from Austria, spiritual home of the Nazi Party.
I think its fair to say that we have come a long way - in terms of tolerance, diversity and equality - in less than a century and I for one am very pleased about that.

Re: Euro Vision
Austria wasn't home to the Nazi Party, it just happened to be an Austrian living in Germany who founded it.
Hopefully it is only coincidence that he also had distinctive facial hair otherwise the world could be in trouble again.

Re: Euro Vision
Must admit I was confused
as I never watched it but only picked the story up later. The thing that confused me more were the papers talking and using the word 'she' - at first I thought it was hirsutism and I thought good on ya girl.
Then I found it was actually a fella dressed as a woman - not transgender but transvestite as far as I can read - still not a prob for me personally although the literature seems confused abut the distinction between transG and transV.
But the liberal press did intitially confuse me I must admit........
And it wasn't the best song

I feel sorry for Celtic striker Georgios Samaras...
