I think its a real shame to see things like this just left and neglected.

They are all over the former Soviet Block... Buzludzha in Bulgaria is worth a view...

This is Dārziņi, just outside of Riga in Latvia. It is a monument to a Nazi concentration camp that the Communists erected.
My wife and I went there in December a few years back when it was -16°. We were alone once we got off the train: we walked for about an hour through a pine forest in the snow before we found the site. It was one of the most awe inspiring places that I have been to (probably equal to Oradour-sur-Glane in France).

I'm not normally that gone on architecture, but I would love to actually see some of those monuments because they are so striking. Thank you.
