I think that's being unfairly hard on someone who was also injured in the accident and may only feel like discussing it in private rather than bunging it out there on for internet for everyone to chip in.Still Gotta Pulse wrote:

Why are you so reluctant to provide any input other than your brief words in the rag article shortly after the DEATH of a FELLOW JOURNALIST????
What did happen to Kevin Ash?

But you don't feel it's unfairly hard , or disrespectful on the family of a deceased father / husband that this story has not yet been given a conclusion, but instead has ongoing speculation on this mysterious incident?AndyB wrote:I think that's being unfairly hard on someone who was also injured in the accident and may only feel like discussing it in private rather than bunging it out there on for internet for everyone to chip in.Still Gotta Pulse wrote:

Do you think a conclusion would have gone unreported then?bond_yzf wrote:Still Gotta Pulse wrote:But you don't feel it's unfairly hard , or disrespectful on the family of a deceased father that this story has not yet been given a conclusion, but instead has ongoing speculation on this mysterious incident?AndyB wrote:I think that's being unfairly hard on someone who was also injured in the accident and may only feel like discussing it in private rather than bunging it out there on for internet for everyone to chip in.Still Gotta Pulse wrote:

I don't know Alun. I passed him once at Takoda and that's the extent of my relationship. So do not for a second think anything else about the nature of this, my final post on this matter. Reasonable discussion is one thing........Still Gotta Pulse wrote:That wouldn't surprise me in the least. I am absolutely flabbergasted that ever since Alun first reported his presence on his forum, since the accident, he has said absolutely nothing about this. That in itself smells of something, to me.Africa John wrote:is this the smell of BMW corporate lawyers threatening a commercial undertaking (ABR mag) if they don't shut the ferk up?Richard Simpson wrote:Hi 92kk...I've just sent you a pm.
I think it's probably best to end the thread...I won't be taking further part in it.
All the best to everyone...it's nothing anyone has said here.
Stuff the reputation of BMW - stuff the corporate silencing, stuff the heads will roll policy and stuff the survival of a magazine. Somebody lost their life here!
To ALL those who 'may' be involved in any alleged 'cover up' , because there certainly appears to be one , dig deep into that conscience and free yourselves from this circus of deceit.
When people who 'know' things keep their lips sealed it is inevitable that there will be speculation. When those same people remain tight lipped, in the hope it will all go away, that speculation will continue to grow.
Like many others, I too had read many reports and of the several separate recalls for the 1200WC, and despite being aware of the steering damper upgrade / addition , I hadn't actually seen this report before, regarding the actual suspension. Was the steering damper the 'fix' for this finding?

The previous post about Alun is somewhat unfair - we'll actually it is very much so.
Alun will be bound legally in this affair - I would imagine - no matter his personal feelings.
Plus - it is not for him to comment on the actions/events of that day until the details become known to the man's wife and children. She has asked to see the report by BMW into the affair. It is for BMW to respond.........
Any other action by BMW but compliance to that reasonable request would be unseemly. It should have been done before now but there may have already been contact .........
Direct your ire at them - email addresses are freely available - and them alone if it turns out to be otherwise.
Best wishes and safe roads to you all.
Bernard.

What did happen to Kevin Ash?
Ever since the Sheen report after the Herald of Free Enterprise disaster, people have looked for somebody (an individual) to blame. Sometimes we open flood gates without realising. Health and safety is no longer about heath or safety, it's just an arse covering exercise.Richard Simpson wrote:I'm not saying this was right, or that we should go back to this kind of attitude, but sometimes there are still sadly genuine accidents with fatal consequences and insisting someone/thing is to blame isn't always a great idea.
