Born East End of London Bethnal Green, a Real Londoner, just to make it clear to everyone a cockney is a person born with in the sound of the bow bells I.E. when they where Ringing On the hour or Half hour.

I lived in a Lane world famous now for Yuppies & Chav's or infamous because of the Krays, (aparently more people knew them dead than alive!!
Brick Lane.
It was a predominately Yiddish area when I was born & the family joke was I could speak better Yiddish than English as a kid! most of my school mates used to go for Sabbath I could never understand why, & I could go buy a slice of bread from a certain old Jewish Lady Mrs Goldblume lol they where the days not so much fun, lots of poverty.

I now live on Essex Suffolk Boarder, Only because my last Mil Posting was UK based, (Londonderry  ) & when I did my resettlement ended up in Colchester, by then London was Yuppie city & that area overtaken by such as them.

We are the Pilgrims, master; we shall go Always a little further: it may be Beyond that last blue mountain barred with snow, Across that angry or that glimmering sea.

I was born in Bedford and have lived in or around North Bedfordshire most of my life but I spent nearly 3 years in South Africa as a service engineer then a year in Kazakstan on the oilfields though I try to avoid long periods overseas these days.
