Hello Mike and welcome to a great forum from Hampshire.

Too old, never! I'm older than you are and I ride, and fall off, a bloody great big 1200GSA!

There may be physical limitations involved in riding some bikes but mostly the problem involves the emotions e.g. confidence. Training can cure that.

I'm well on my way towards my second childhood, according to the missus anyway.

Get out there and enjoy your life and tell us what you're getting up to - we will do the same.

All the best for 2014,

Paul :)

Welcome to the forum Mike.

You're never too old, there's loads of different adventure bikes out there, just find the one that suits you.

Thanks for the welcome. The too old bit was a little tongue in cheek according to my family I'm on my third childhood and getting worse

The search for a "comfortable" bike begins in earnest today.

Happy New Year one and all (thumbs)
