Suzuki v strom 1000

Post by Big Stu »

Not sure if this has already been posted?

Chat with the local Suzuki dealer, told they are launching the 1000cc V-Strom next year. Have bikes in showrooms end of this year to have a look see.

They have pictures on the Suzuki web site. Priced about the same as the Versy.

I've been riding a (2008 model) Suzuki V-Strom DL1000 for 5yrs now, that new shape/model Suzuki DL1000 looks like a dose of crap..!!

Suzuki took the KTM1190 Adventure, crashed it into a wall and settled on the look   .

Personally, I love the look of the bike, except for the ugly dash unit. We ran a story on here about the new V-Strom and a series of interviews with the designers etc., here's the link:

The vids are a bit cheesy but interesting nonetheless!

I really like that.

What do we think it will cost?

Seen pics of this bike before.... still think the front end looks gash, but i'll reserve judgment until I see it in the flesh. Chain drive doesn't bother me either, chain and shaft both have their plus's & minus's. Suzuki are usually very competitive with their pricing, so it'll be interesting to see the final price.
I'll deffo be getting a test ride on one to see what its like, though Its highly unlikely that I would want to buy one.
