Motorcycle rider gets rammed by car he was harrasing

That would be an interesting case to deal with. Car driver had more concern for his car than someone he had just had an accident with.
Car do's not seem to brake or accelerate but he didn't take any other avoiding action either. The bike do's seem to slow down in front of the car before impact, so I would say they are both equally to blame.

At 70 mph you've travelled 70ft before you even reacted and hit the brakes. That biker was no more than 10ft off the cars front bumper when he slammed on the anchors (look at the fork dive as well as the brake light). The car had no chance of avoiding him. The biker needs a darwin award.

well, i have watched it a few times, and in a court of law i dont think that the biker would have a leg to stand on,

first, the biker speeds up and you think he is going to open the throttle and go , but then he slammed on the brakes, you can clearly see his brakes lights coming on, and they go off just before impact

now i dont know, but i dont think that the car driver is a mind reader, and it was lucky their was not a big accident with a few cars involved,

There's also the possibility that the car driver could have stopped in time, but was so mad at the biker he decided to ram him. When the red mist comes down in road rage, people will do all sorts of mad things that they wouldn't normally do.
Like maybe a biker headbutting a car driver because they moved his bike :whistle:

well you have me there, i am no angel and thats forsure,

but, i would never endanger someones life on the road, alot can happen in a split second and the next car coming might have a family and children in it.

whether your in a car or on a bike, you dont mess with other peoples lives on the road,

From the point he realised the bike was braking hard, the car driver wouldn't have had time to get his foot over to the brake pedal, never mind actually brake.

you have to look at the mind set of both individuals, the drivers attitude was to check his car then bimble up the road, there's even a HGV driver stops on the other carriage and runs across the road to help before the driver moves.
I think they would both have questions to answer, the driver could of backed off sooner and the rider well is just nuts.

The lack of concern for the rider isn't good, but then it's in Russia and a different culture. Also, he's probably in a bit of a state of shock and disbelief at what the riders just done. Probably why he didn't move initially, trying to take in what just happened. The biker appears at 0:55 and the accident is at 1:05. The driver went from half asleep (lane hogging), to road rage, to accident in just 10 seconds.

He could have backed off and he does try to force his way up the inside of the rider at 1:01, then backs off when the rider closes the gap, if wanted to ram him off he could have done it then. Unfortunately, lots of people have a bit of road rage and get into an aggressive altercation with another driver. It would take a sensible head and no testosterone effect to back off from someone who's just arrived out of the blue and picked a fight.

Also as Bull says, at 1:03/04 the rider back on the gas and looks like he's clearing off ahead so there's no need to back off at that point, the gap is already growing rapidly. Then at 1:05 the rider hauls on the anchors and from there the result was inevitable.
