A bit pi55ed off that I could not get away this time hopefully catch up later in the year

Looks like you had a 5* Gourmet Supper on Saturday night - still plenty of wood left ?

Applecross, Skye and Glencoe in a day :whistle:
When I left on the Saturday I had a quick wee detour upto Applecross top and back down. I'd forgotten how good the Wester Ross Coast Road is when it's dry and the Suns beaming down. Decided the weather was too good so kept going - Detoured over the bridge to Skye then went to the Ardgour Ferry. Off at Mallaig then the wee roads to the Corran Ferry. Back up the hill to Glencoe then onto Glen Etive.

Cheers again chaps, brill adventure, glad I went and would do it all again.

Can't believe how great the weather was...What a weekend!!

Great spot on Loch Maree...Thanks to the local lad Ian for that!...Top fishing spot by all accounts as well

Arrived at the Lay by on the Friday afternoon around the back of 3 to find Sy and Ian...and Mul who'd been there since half 11! at least it was a glorious day

Anyways Ian suggested a spot close by next to Loch Maree so we headed a few miles up the road to the spot and as you can see it was a fantastic spot, we made ourselves at home and got the tents up and a brew on.

A short time later Al and Frankie arrived and the "merd" talk really got going! :laugh:

Good craic was had by all over a few beers and a fire...good man Mul for getting it going...Ray Mears eat your heart out!!

After a really good nights sleep we woke to another glorious day...We said goodbye to Frankie and then Mul

I had the urge to get some miles done along these fantastic single track roads and so I headed north along the coast towards Ullapool and then Lochiver to Unapool...That road is one of the best I've ever ridden...great fun!! B)

Spent the Saturday night on Loch Assynt...another beautiful spot all to myself

It was a great weekend...Thanks to Al,Frankie,Sy,Ian and Mul...and thanks to the weather!!

Hope to do this again at some point

Hi Eric, You would have enjoyed the weekend...There was some fishing on the go as well...wish I'd had my fishing stuff with me...I'll know the next time though!

Hope to see you up this way again sometime...give me a PM if you fancy heading west for some fishing at some point.
