KTM Review and the price comparisons

Post by keithblade »

So within the review there is a price comparison list of other makes with their prices to compare to the price of the KTM. Good idea, but why have you given the price of the basic entry level GSA (£11,395) against the top of the range Ducati Multistrada S Touring (£15,550)? A difference of £4,155 which makes the Duke hideously expensive even though it comes with every conceivable biking gadget and gizmo known to man!

Come on guys, surely like for like is the key to fair journalism or is there a conspiracy to always put the BMW on the top podium?

It's more complicated by how each marque's dealers seem to offer differing discount opportunities. It seems to me that noone really pays those super-high RRPs but some dealers are very resistant to discounting (BMW).

Yes but you can buy the basic Multistada and the top of the range GS, it still doesn't get away from the fact it was written on a none like for like basis and I just wonder why?

I have nothing against GS's by the way as I have owned both the 1150 and 1200.
