Thanks to all for support. As said before, there are so many ways to make this event bigger and better. If anyone has any time to jump on board, then go for it, but I'll be pretty flat out just trying to pull this little gig together..

I'll update the schedule and where the 'holes' are ASAP. Also hopefully have a logo soon. Can anyone else out there draw? My mate who is looking at doing it is pretty flat chat...

I can help with the Kent/Surrey Stretch. If someone can get it into Kent I can get it over to West Surrey or maybe down to Brighton depending on anyone elses involvement.

Thanks for the replies sent so far, it looks like there is a fair amount of support for this event out there amongst us. To have any chance of this working I'll need you to have a squizz at the schedule below and let me know specific dates and places you can/want to ride from/to.

Many of you have said that you're keen & free, that is great but the places/dates needs to be firmed up so others can see where they can slot in. That way we can chase riders to fill in holes/gaps. Please have a look here and either PM me or reply on here.

Those weekend rides in Scotland and Midlands are pretty key as well, probably best if they get organised locally as I haven't got a clue where to go!! If Ireland is too difficult, then we'll drop it

SCHEDULE

Ace Café 21st April. From here we want to do some kind of circuit of Hertfordshire / Essex/ Kent / Surrey. Then get the baton to Chiltern Rally 27-28 April.

Hopefully head towards Devon/Cornwall from here and then back up towards Bristol to get to the Taffy Dakar 4/6 May.

From here we need to meet up with riders heading to the Ireland ABR Meet 10-12 May.

Then we need to get the baton up north, eventually doing a circuit of Scotland. We need to organise some Scotland rides 18-19 May.

Then it’ll head back south for a weekend ride around Manchester/Linc/Yorkshire 25-26 May.

Eventually it needs to get to the Horizons Unlimited Overland meet HUBB at Donnington 1-2 June where the relay will finish

Whoever is coming up from the West Country and Bristol could liaise with me regarding getting the baton onto the Taffy Dakar.
I can then hopefully meet up with the next person in mid Wales on the Sunday as we are taking the Taffy Dakar participants on a guided ride around the Elan Valley
(well at least those not too hung-over from the 'Saturday night campfire and shandy do')

I'm sure we'll have a whip round around the campfire

Hi I am able and willing to do the North of Scotland from say Inverness up to John o Groats and round the top to Ullapool or if pushed could go as far as Ft William but I need to be finished by 22nd May as booked ferry to Europe

Barcelona Pat will take it from the Taffy to the Ireland ABR Meet 10-12 May.

Milshy will then bring it back across to England on Monday 13th. It'll need to be collected from him on that day somewhere near Gretna. Offers??? Then it needs to go north.. Offers??

BBJohn is offering an Inverness to John O Groats loop on approx 18-19 May. But we need to get it to him between 13th - 18th, which is a fair amount of countryside to cover. Offers???

Then it’ll head back south for a weekend ride around Manchester/Linc/Yorkshire 25-26 May. Sloth is around on the 26th. Any one else for Manchester/Yorkshire ish 25-26th???

Lastly it needs to get to the Horizons Unlimited Overland meet HUBB at Donnington 1-2 June where the relay will finish. Any takers????
The HUBB guys are offering us a warm reception but we need to tell them when it'll arrive so they can arrange things.
