ABR Ireland Flintlocks ride out

Post by Flintlock »

Ok folks, my Saturday's ride out will be as follows

09.30 Leave Meelmore Lodge and head past Spelga through Hilltown, Rathfriland, Moneyslane, Dromara, Hillsborough, Stonyford. We will then take in a bit of the Ulster GP circuit, then on to Ballyclare, towards Larne, then turn North over the Glens of Antrim, through Armory and then to Ballymoney where we will visit the Robert & Joey Dunlop memorial garden and Joey's pub.

We will then make our way to Portrush, taking in a bit of the North West 200 circuit. We will stop at Portrush for lunch. From Portrush we will follow the coastal route, taking in the Torr road. We will pass through Larne and follow the coast through Carrickfergus & Belfast, then South to Newcastle & Meelmore.

This will be an all day ride (approx 270 miles) there will be lots of stops for pics smokes etc. I expect we should be back for around 8-9pm

The route will be all tarmac.

I am aware that this might be to long a ride for some who will have already covered big miles to get here, but there will be a shorter more local ride out to avail of, or of course members will be free to do their own thing
