The third annual Prescott Bike Festival will take place on Sunday 7 April 2013, and organisers have said that it will be even bigger and better than before, with many more bike manufacturers involved, a large display of rare historic, modern and race bikes in the paddock, plus huge support from biker clubs, biker personalities and lots of live demonstrations, rock bands, thrilling passenger experiences and more than 100 trade stands.

Festival organiser, Gordon Downie, says, “Obviously the unique opportunity to ride a motorcycle up Prescott Hill Climb is a major attraction, but the Prescott Bike Festival promises to be so much more. With all the major motorcycle manufacturers represented including Ducati, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Enfield, Triumph, AJP, Harley, Victory, BMW and KTM - visitors will get the chance to see all the major models up close and personal.

The event helps raise awareness and funds for the Nationwide Association of Blood Bikes (NABB) charity. Severn Freewheelers is the regional Blood Bike group operating in Gloucestershire, Hereford, Worcester and North Wiltshire. This local group has over 70 volunteers, and runs four BMW R1200RTs and a Honda ST1300, they handle over 3,500 call-outs per year, covering 140,000 miles moving vital medical supplies, blood and pathology samples from medical centres and hospitals. They have recently become involved in the transportation of human donor milk - this has been a real lifesaver for premature baby units. NABB is the umbrella organisation that represents 12 of the regional blood bike charities, and has over 1500 active members across the UK, with a fleet of 55+ emergency response vehicles. It is run entirely by volunteers.
