simple....it doesnt matter to them. if they get hit / or hit something there in a cage of metal, with a seat belt and airbags. theres no need to think outside of the car itself, as long as the heaters on and the radio is playing...what else is there for them to worry about?

Plus most cars these days dont have 2 working headlights....and i mean it. i travel 2.8 miles to work and the same back home. i see between 1 and 4 cars per journey with only 1 head light or brake light working.

but dont do 33mph in a 30 peeps as you'll get a fine and points, but feel free to drive around with no lights on, or snow on your wind screen....thats fine. :(

+1
Pitch black and rainiing. See another bike coming towards you. Someone else braving atrocious conditions. THEN sh**e! Its a frigging car with only a nearside headlight. So dangerous

I was out scraping the first snow of the year off the car this morning when the neighbor along the road came past in his wee sports car, The amount of snow he cleared from his screen was disgusting, He looked at me as if I was alien for getting snow from bonnet, roof and all windows. Its now just him, you see it all the time, whether its snow, frost or condensation they dont give a fcuk

cheers Paul

Many knobs that forget to swich on.

But the ones that boil my p*ss set off with sidelights, what conditions are ever mild enough for that? Either you need lights or not? A conscious decision made that they only need parking lights?

I just use sidelights if I judge the conditions right

Why?
Because a bright light gives less idea of speed or distance. Often all you see is the light, not the vehicle.

My bike has twin headlights, 2 headlights next to each other can be (& is) mistaken for a car in the distance when I'm actually quite close :pinch:

I have fewer people pull out on me if I just have sidelights on at dusk, people still pull out, but they haven't looked anyway

side lights on older cars are 100% useless! just like indicators on new cars. (as they seem to be right next to the super high power white headlights so there for you struggle to seem them winking)

the only thing britain is bothered about is speed. Because speed = $$. you can drive with no lights, bad eyesight, poor driving skills, cause crashes and so on....but just dont get caught speeding and you'll be fine.
